Questions to ask

What is a microschool?

A microschool is a small, often multi-age group of students learning together with a consistent teacher or facilitator, usually meeting several days a week in a home, church, or small facility rather than a traditional school building.

What is a microschool vs. homeschool?

Homeschooling is typically one family teaching at home; a microschool brings several families' children together under a shared teacher or facilitator on a regular schedule, giving kids more peer interaction and a more structured day than solo homeschooling usually offers.

How does a microschool work?

Most Houston microschools meet multiple days a week with a set schedule and a lead teacher, blending elements of a small classroom with the flexibility and smaller scale of homeschooling.
