Schools, co-ops and classes in Inner Loop

The Inner Loop groups Houston's oldest, most established core neighborhoods: The Heights, Montrose/ Midtown, Downtown, and the Medical Center, plus three smaller neighborhoods with enough family density and name recognition to carry their own hub pages despite the Loop's tighter lot sizes and denser housing: Bellaire, West University Place, and Meyerland.

Private schools are the strongest single thread running through this cluster, from Bellaire's parish schools to Meyerland's own day-school tradition to options in The Heights and just across the cluster line in Spring Branch, more concentrated here than almost anywhere else on this map. What's thinner: co-ops and support groups, since families choosing to raise kids inside the Loop are often already leaning toward a full-time school over a home-led week, and the families who do build a co-op-and-classes week tend to do it across neighborhood lines rather than staying inside one small area.

Bellaire, West University, and Meyerland sit within a few minutes of each other, practically one private-school market split across three city names, and Spring Branch and Memorial in West Houston are close enough, 10 to 13 minutes, that a lot of Inner Loop families cross that line too for a specific program.
