Schools, co-ops and classes in West/Katy

West/Katy is built around one suburb doing most of the work: Katy itself, a massive tri-county brand spanning Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller counties, with smaller master-planned and rural communities, Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Brookshire, Waller, Hockley, and Sealy, rolling up into the same hub rather than each carrying its own page.

Katy is one of the largest homeschool communities tracked anywhere in Greater Houston, with tutoring and special needs and therapies running deep, real private-school depth across non-denominational and Catholic traditions, and a co-op community anchored partly by a national classical-education network. The honest gap sits right alongside that strength: co-op and support-group listings here lag behind what a cluster this size should carry, with a lot of real activity happening in Facebook groups this directory hasn't fully mapped yet.

Katy families extend their search to Richmond/Rosenberg or Cypress, both around 27 to 28 minutes away, and Sugar Land at about 30 minutes, for a specific option this cluster doesn't carry locally. The smaller communities further out, Sealy and Waller especially, are genuinely rural and lean on Katy for almost everything on this list.
