Questions to ask
What are homeschool days at Houston museums and attractions?
Many Houston museums and attractions offer specific days or discounted rates aimed at homeschool families, often with added educational programming beyond a normal visit.
How do I find field trips for homeschoolers in Houston?
This hub lists venues and events by area and type; co-ops and support groups also frequently organize group trips, which is often the easiest way to join one already being planned.
Are homeschool field trips covered by TEFA?
Generally no, standalone field trips aren't on the state's allowable-expense list. If a venue runs a broader accredited educational program, ask specifically about that program's TEFA status rather than the field trip itself.
