About
The goal is to create a community where families of diverse ideas and backgrounds, who all actively homeschool in some form or another, can come together for fun, learning and support. New members have a three month trial period to see if the group is a good fit.
TEFA and accreditation
What is TEFA?
Texas homeschool families get up to $2,000/year through TEFA. TEFA-accredited private schools can qualify for up to $10,474, and up to $30,000 for an eligible disability at an accredited school. Verify current amounts with the Comptroller.

Questions to ask
How do I find friends for my homeschooled child?
Support groups, park days, and co-ops are the most common ways Houston homeschool families connect their kids with other homeschooled peers. Many families join more than one group to widen the circle.
Is there a homeschool cooperative near Houston, TX?
Yes, Houston has a large number of active co-ops and support groups across the metro. Use the area filters on this hub to find ones near your part of town.
What's the difference between a support group and a co-op?
A support group is primarily social: connection, encouragement, and community, with no formal classes. A co-op adds a regular academic schedule with classes families attend or teach.
