Questions to ask
What counts as an enrichment class for homeschoolers?
Generally, any single-subject class outside core academics: art, music, drama, foreign language, writing, science labs, or coding, usually taught by a specialist rather than a generalist co-op teacher.
Can TEFA funds pay for enrichment classes?
Sometimes. Enrichment isn't on the state's official allowable-expense list, but some gets approved case by case through Odyssey when the provider shows a clear educational focus rather than purely recreational content. Ask the specific provider directly.
How do I find STEM or science classes for homeschoolers in Houston?
Use the STEM & Science section of this hub to filter by area and age range. Many Houston science and coding classes are taught by co-ops, museums, or dedicated STEM providers rather than solo instructors.
