About
FBA is a place where every student is known, valued, and supported. The area's only Classical Christian School is in Baytown. FBA's goal is to build a strong foundation in each student through promoting excellence in education and instilling Biblical ideology. We achieve this through higher level curriculum, smaller classrooms, Biblical teaching, a Christian atmosphere and building self-esteem. FBA exists to build a solid foundation in each student to enable them to achieve their educational goals and be successful in life.
TEFA and accreditation
What is TEFA?
Texas homeschool families get up to $2,000/year through TEFA. TEFA-accredited private schools can qualify for up to $10,474, and up to $30,000 for an eligible disability at an accredited school. Verify current amounts with the Comptroller.

Questions to ask
What is a Christian preschool?
A preschool or pre-K program built around a Christian faith foundation, typically blending early literacy, numbers, and social skills with Bible stories, prayer, and character formation.
At what age can my child start Christian preschool in Houston?
Most Houston Christian preschools accept children starting around age 2 or 3, with programs commonly split by age group (2s, 3s, 4s/Pre-K). Confirm specific age cutoffs and potty-training requirements directly with each program.
Is Christian preschool covered by TEFA?
It depends on the specific program's accreditation and vendor status. Some private preschool and pre-K programs factor into a family's accredited-school TEFA tier; ask the program directly rather than assuming.
