Christian hybrid and university-model schools in Houston

Includes Catholic programs. We only list a program here when its own listing says it is Christian or Catholic.

35 listings. Two or three days on campus, the rest at home.

A hybrid or university-model school with a Christian or Catholic identity splits the week the same way any hybrid program does: real campus days for teacher-led classes, home days a parent oversees the rest of the week. What sets these programs apart on this page is a stated faith tradition running through the campus culture, the curriculum, or both, rather than just the neighborhood or the tuition band.

Faith requirement varies here as much as it does on any Christian page on this site: some hybrid programs ask families to sign a statement of faith before enrolling, others are Christian-led but open to any family, and a few carry no requirement beyond a general Christian environment on campus. Ask directly how strictly a specific program applies its stated tradition to enrolling families versus staff.

On TEFA, the same accreditation cliff applies here as with any private school: a hybrid program accredited by a TEPSAC-recognized agency, running at least two years at a Texas location, qualifies for up to $10,474 a year. Without that accreditation, a family is capped at the flat $2,000 amount, regardless of how central the faith identity is to the program's mission or how long it's served Houston families.
