Co-ops in Cypress lean classical, built around at least one national classical-education network alongside locally run, independent groups, some with a stated, modest monthly cost rather than a bigger semester fee. That classical lean is a real identity here, distinct from the more inclusive or secular co-op scenes you'll find in some other Houston suburbs.
Cypress is one of the largest suburbs in Northwest Houston, and families here also drive to Tomball, about 19 minutes away, or Klein, around 24 minutes, for a co-op that fits a different approach or schedule than what's local. Katy is a longer haul, closer to 28 minutes, worth it mainly for a specific group worth the drive.
Co-op fees sit in one of the least settled corners of TEFA funding. Most co-ops are informal, parent-run groups without a registered business behind them, and TEFA money can only reach a registered vendor in the first place, so an unregistered co-op generally can't be paid through the program regardless of category. If a specific class inside a Cypress co-op is billed through its own registered vendor, ask that co-op directly whether that piece qualifies.
Featured programs are paid placements and appear first. Some programs also pay for a larger profile, which never changes the order. Every listing here is free. How we make money.
