Private schools in Cypress

6 listings. Full-time private schools, religious and secular, including special-education schools.

Cypress is one of the largest suburbs in Northwest Houston, and while this area is best known on this site for its therapy and support-group depth, full-time private schools serve the community too, sized to a large suburb rather than a single small parish operation.

Families here often extend a private-school search to Tomball, about 19 minutes away, or Klein, around 24 minutes, both of which carry a heavier concentration of full-time options than Cypress itself. Katy is a longer haul, closer to 28 minutes, worth it only for a specific school that fits better than anything closer.

Before you commit to a tour, confirm accreditation directly with the school rather than assuming from its name or tuition level. A TEPSAC-recognized accreditor, combined with at least two years running at a Texas campus, is what actually moves a family from the flat $2,000 TEFA amount up to as much as $10,474. Cypress's own listings can be sparse for smaller or newer schools, so a direct call is the more reliable check.
