Private schools in Meyerland

14 listings. Full-time private schools, religious and secular, including special-education schools.

Meyerland has been one of Houston's most established family neighborhoods for decades, and it has long been associated with part of Houston's Jewish community, a texture that shows up in the neighborhood's own mix of full-time schools even though this page doesn't sort by denomination beyond what a program states about itself. Non-denominational and other faith-based full-time schools round out the rest.

Geographically, Meyerland sits almost on top of Bellaire, about a minute away, and close enough to West University Place and Medical Center that families here treat all three as one private-school shopping trip rather than a Meyerland-only search. Memorial and Spring Branch, across town in West Houston, are a longer haul, more like 12 to 13 minutes, worth it mainly for a specific school that isn't represented locally.

Whatever a Meyerland school's faith tradition or founding community, TEFA doesn't factor any of that into the award. Only accreditation does: a TEPSAC-recognized agency, at least two years running at a Texas campus, moves a family from the flat $2,000 amount up to as much as $10,474. Confirm accreditation status directly with the specific school, not from its reputation or how long it's been in the neighborhood.
