Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy (NAUMS)
Campus days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri mornings
Hybrid schools are a newer option in Montgomery County, and the listings are spread across Magnolia, The Woodlands and Conroe, with Magnolia carrying the most. That is a surprising place for the option to gather, and it suits a fast-growing part of the county where families want campus days without a long commute into The Woodlands.
Every listing is part-time scheduled, which means real campus days for teacher-led classes and home days you run yourself. Grades run from Pre-K through twelfth, and a classical approach is named at some programs, with Bible, science, art and PE among the subjects. Some programs state a Christian tradition and others do not, so ask about the school's approach and whether families sign anything.
Most of these programs do not list an accreditor. For TEFA that is the question that matters. A hybrid accredited by a TEPSAC-recognized agency and running at least two years in Texas can qualify a family for up to $10,474 a year. A newer microschool-style program may be waiting on a new state accreditor that had not yet won TEA recognition when this was written, and until it does, the flat $2,000 applies.
Featured programs are paid placements and appear first. Some programs also pay for a larger profile, which never changes the order. Every listing here is free. How we make money.
