Private schools in Northeast/Lake Houston

9 listings. Full-time private schools, religious and secular, including special-education schools.

Private schools in Northeast/Lake Houston concentrate in Humble, with Atascocita and Kingwood adding a few. Humble has the deepest bench in the cluster, spanning Episcopal, Catholic and classical traditions, and the schools cover Pre-K through twelfth grade, with Bible, art, music and PE named as regular subjects.

Humble, Atascocita and Kingwood sit within about 10 minutes of one another and work as one community, so a family in any of the three is really choosing from all three. A family in Kingwood should not assume the nearest campus is the best fit, or that the best fit is in Kingwood.

Most of the schools appear to carry accreditation at the level that can qualify a family for up to $10,474 a year in TEFA funds. Some of the listings are early-childhood programs, so check the grades on each one before you tour. A few offer part-time scheduling for families who want it, and the rest run standard Monday to Friday days.

Applications for the next TEFA year are expected to open in early 2027, and a school's calendar can start well before that, so ask about deadlines early.
