Homeschool co-ops in South/Pearland

6 listings. Parent-run groups that meet for classes, where you usually stay or teach.

Every co-op in the South/Pearland cluster is Christian, and the groups sit along the Highway 288 corridor in Pearland, Alvin and Angleton. That spread is the main challenge, since the run from Pearland to Angleton is long enough that a weekly commitment becomes a logistics decision.

The groups meet one day a week, usually Tuesday afternoon, and parents teach in most of them. At least one is tied to a national classical-education network. Most ask families to sign a statement of faith, and one is Christian-led and open to any family. Grades run from Pre-K through high school, with math, science, art and PE named as regular subjects.

Pearland carries the most, so families in Alvin or Angleton often drive north for the day. Friendswood is about 11 minutes from Pearland and Clear Lake/Webster about 18, if you want to compare a group in the Bay Area.

On TEFA, co-op fees are the least settled part of the program. No source this directory checked named a Texas co-op that had completed vendor approval, and the program cannot pay a group that has not registered. Ask before you assume.
