Private schools in The Woodlands
The Woodlands has the strongest homeschool community identity in Montgomery County, and its private schools serve the area across a couple of denominational traditions, though the area is arguably better known on this site for its co-op and support-group depth than for a huge full-time-school bench.
The Woodlands sits close to Spring and Klein, both about 12 to 14 minutes away, and plenty of families here cross those lines for a specific private school rather than treating The Woodlands as a self-contained market. Conroe, the Montgomery County seat, is about 19 minutes north if a particular program there fits better.
Ask any Woodlands-area school directly about accreditation, since that's what actually sets the TEFA award tier, not the denomination or the tuition. A TEPSAC-recognized agency, with the school running at least two years at a Texas campus, unlocks up to $10,474 a year for an eligible family. Without it, the flat $2,000 base amount applies regardless of how well-established the school is in the community.
