Meets: Fri mornings
Co-ops in the Northwest cluster lean classical, and the map is short: Cypress carries most of them and Jersey Village has a group of its own. At least one is tied to a national classical-education network, and the rest are independent groups with their own reading lists. That classical identity is the defining feature here, and it separates the cluster from the more inclusive or secular co-op scenes in some other Houston suburbs.
Every group listed asks families to sign a statement of faith, so this is a page for families who are comfortable with that from the start. The groups meet one day a week, and most rely on a parent to teach rather than on paid staff. At least one lists a modest monthly cost instead of a large semester fee.
Cypress and Jersey Village are about 15 minutes apart, and Tomball is about 19 minutes from Cypress, so families often travel to a group instead of finding one on their own block.
TEFA is the unsettled part. An informal group has no registered business, and the program only pays registered vendors. Some sources reason that a co-op's instructional fee could count once the group is approved, but that is inference. Ask each group directly.
Featured programs are paid placements and appear first. Some programs also pay for a larger profile, which never changes the order. Every listing here is free. How we make money.
